Mark is a lifelong learner and worships God from the heart. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Bible and Teaching Bible. He has served as youth pastor, missionary, teacher at a Bible institute in Manaus, Brazil, and pastored a local Montana church for six years. Mark recently retired from a property management and a handyman business in Montana and moved to British Columbia, Canada with his wife Connie where thy hope to build a small home, travel, and write more books.

God used our books to bring us together in 2023
A glimpse of our story, but more is coming as we plan on co-authoring a book together.
Mark:
In January of 2023 I was giving the PDF version of HE IS away in a Facebook author group. Connie asked for a copy and when I sent it to her, she said, “This looks excellent!” I thought, who would say my book looked excellent? Then I started looking at her books on her Amazon author page and purchased Look Around, Mae & Me, and one of her Bible studies. I reached out to Connie by messenger and our friendship began. I can truly testify that I fell in love with this single author by the end of reading two of her books. Well, by God’s grace, He led us together into a covenant of marriage by the end of October 2023. It is rather an amazing story that we hope to tell in a sequel to Mae & Me entitled, Mark & Me.
We have already started writing the book with the subtitle: A Love Story of Redemption and Healing. We are truly amazed at how God has worked in our lives. He is good and brings good even from the bad hardships and trails of life. I am sure this book will be real and raw like many of Connie’s other books. I am still reading her books and encourage others to give them a read too. We have so much for which to give thanks!

Of all the things I thought God might want to do through my writing, bringing me a man to marry was not one of them. Nor could I possibly foresee where my casual acceptance of a Facebook offer for a free devotional book would lead. Things we think will go one direction can take off in quite another, and the whole course of our lives can pivot on a dime. God is always surprising!
At the start of 2023 when Mark was not even a blip on my radar, no one could have been more surprised to see the year’s outcome than I was. Well, my loved ones may have been just as surprised as I was to see me married by the end of 2023. But I don’t want to give away too many spoilers for Mark and Me: A Love Story of Redemption and Healing. We’ll keep you posted as the book progresses, but we want to get a little further along in our love story before its publication, so it may be a year or two!
