I’ll start. I remember when I first read “He Is!” that Chapter 23, “He Is Not a Man,” struck me with some force. Its theme verse is Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” This was a verse through which God had already spoken to me, regarding something I thought I had heard from Him but which was taking a long time to come to pass. Every time I would read the verse, it would convict me to hang on to what I believed God had told me. It convicted me again when I read that chapter of “He Is!” to remember that our God is a promise-keeper. Little did I know at that time that God’s promise to me would be kept through the man whose words I was reading. (I don’t mean the words of Numbers 23:19. “He is” not a man who wrote those words, and so they are absolute truth. I mean the man who wrote the words about those words that I was reading. A man who is now my husband. But that’s a story for another time…)

Matthew 28:5-6: “The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.'”
This he is statement I first read when I was about 9 years old. I had for the first time read what happened to Jesus and when I read these words I literally jumped out of my seat and cheered for joy! Nobody had told me the story of Jesus and when I read it for the first time it was rather traumatic. But this verse changed everything! And he is risen changes everything for everybody! And this reminds me whatever I’m going through Jesus already went through it he bore my pain and my sins and at the cross I was forgiven by his blood! Thank you Jesus! Be blessed everyone
